Meena's Journey from Struggle to Self-Reliance

Meena grew up in a small rural village where education was a luxury and opportunities for women were rare. After her father passed away, the responsibility of supporting her younger siblings fell entirely on her shoulders. She worked as a daily wage laborer, often earning barely enough to buy food.

When she learned about our NGO's vocational tailoring program, she hesitated at first, worried that she lacked the skill or confidence to succeed. But with the encouragement of our trainers, she began attending classes regularly. Over six months, she not only learned advanced tailoring techniques but also basic business management, customer handling, and pricing strategies.

Today, Meena owns a small tailoring shop in her village. Her income now covers her family’s needs, and she has even saved enough to send her siblings to school.

"The NGO didn't just give me a skill — they gave me the belief that I could shape my future."
